Instructions for the bachelor and master state examinations in the academic year 2021/2022

On the basis of the diploma assignment, I am providing you with the following detailed instructions for the State Final Examinations (hereinafter referred to as the SFE) in the academic year 2021/2022: 
 
SFA will be held in accordance with Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education (§ 46, 53 and 55), the Study and Examination Regulations of the Academy of Performing Arts, the Dean's Decree 3/2021 and the DAMU Academic Year 2021/22 Schedule, the current version of which is always posted on the DAMU website under the Study tab.

SFE consists of a written thesis and its defence, as well as the components specified by the accreditation of the field of study/programme. For exact information, please refer to the department's website or contact the department secretary. Departments list in KOS the dates of their SFEs and the binding deadlines that apply to them, especially for the submission of the thesis and for the fulfilment of the study obligations set out in the curriculum. 

• For the selected date of the final year students and students-in-waiting register in KOS (tab State Examinations -> State Final Examinations) at least 1 month before the final year.  

A condition for taking the oral final examination is the proper submission of the university qualification thesis. 

• After the secretary of the department has entered the approved title and supervisor of the thesis into KOS, the department will invite students to fill in the prescribed data about the thesis (title of the thesis in AJ, abstract in CJ and AJ, language of the thesis, keywords). The student is obliged to enter these data into KOS (State Examinations -> My Thesis tab) before submitting the thesis. The student should do the same for the graduation performance or graduation work if it is part of his/her SFE. 
• The thesis must be submitted in one bound copy (hardcover) and uploaded to KOS (State Exams -> My Thesis tab). After uploading the thesis to KOS and filling in all the required fields, the student will put the qualification thesis in the "submitted" status. The deadline for submission of the thesis must be no later than 1 month before the final examination. 
•  For publication of the thesis in the library and on the Internet, the student/shall, when submitting the thesis, conclude Annex A (for a textual thesis), Annex B (for an artistic work) or Annex C (for an artistic performance) to the Framework Licensing Agreement, signed at the start of the studies. The correct attachment will be prepared for signature by the Department Secretary.    

The Department of Studies recommends that students registered for the SFE have the Department of Studies check for proper completion of the study plan in the SFE, before the deadline for completion of the study requirements listed in the SFE. Without the proper completion of the study requirements and obtaining the minimum number of credits prescribed by the curriculum of the respective field of study/programme, the student cannot be allowed to take the SFE.  

• Before proceeding to the SFE, the student shall pay all fees for extended study, if prescribed. The student/s must submit a duly endorsed exit slip to the Study Department confirming the settlement of the student/s liabilities relating to the Library, PLATA, Departments, DISC and Study Department. The student/s shall also surrender his/her student ID card to the Study Department before proceeding to the SFE.  

The Department will notify students registered for the SFE of the exact time and place of the examination prior to the date of the SFE. 
The student must successfully complete the SFE within 2 years of the conclusion of the study plan, but no longer than the maximum period of study. The state examination may be repeated only once, but no later than one year after the unsuccessful attempt.  
 
Important note

Study fees are assessed by the KOS system in accordance with Section 58, paragraphs 3 and 4 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education, as amended, and in accordance with the Vice-Chancellor's Methodological Instruction No. 1/2015 on study-related fees, exactly according to the number of days studied from the data of the Student Information Matrix System (SIMS).
